As an introvert with social anxiety I shuddered when I heard 150 people, she stayed for the important part, she made her boundaries and issues clear from the beginning, she would not have had fun if she stayed longer and maybe even got so overwhelmed she had some sort of panic/anxiety attack, speaking from personal experience here

Love it!!! And i dont think its terrible he left early! At least they showed up. My old mans family is the kind that badely ever show up for anything

Some people have serious social anxiety when it comes to big groups. Its not easy to shake off. I think as long as they sat through the ceremony (the most important part of the wedding) he could have left in the middle or made an excuse not to come. So i dont think hes the full asshole. He also let them know ahead of time. So it wasnt just last minute...

No. You don't like crowds, but you made it through the ceremony and a little of the reception. You didn't ask anyone else to leave. You did the right thing. Son's kind of an AH for acting like that. She was there for the important part.

Tbh, I don't think they're TA. I struggle with social anxiety myself, and they were there for the important celebration. They presumably didn't cause a scene, and sure they could've sucked it up, but I don't think they were an AH.

Leaving early, NTA but leaving before the reception has even started totally TA!!! Stay for cake, speeches, first dance, etc then give them a kiss and slip out before the 'party' started. Thats your family, thats your SON! you should want to be there for them.

I mean I dont think she r the asshole, she let them know before hand and she wasnt rude about leaving. She stayed for the main part of the wedding she js didnt wanna be apart of the party which for some people can be overwhelming. She even brought two cars so she wasnt forcing other people to leave immediately with her (since this is only part 1 I may change or delete this comment)
