Very very true. And as someone who immigrated to another country, the problem appears in every single tiny and big part of your life, and it's tiring. It's so exhausting to find the whos and the hows.

I am an introvert. I work on my extroverted skills. Since 2011 (in the highly volatile industry of oilfield), every job was due to network (personal or LinkedIn) and job offered within a month.
Just start out networking in ways you are comfortable in then move forward. I am getting lazy and need to get back to it. Thanks for the reminder.
