Thanks! A very useful tip. Sometimes my fat fingers get stuck between black keys, which throws my concentration off. Playing with mindfulness usually helps me avoid this pitfall❗️

If you wanna learn the best techniques, watch the Great Pianists playing concerts, different composers & movements. Try to emulate the ease in which they play. It never looks forced or "memorized." I like to tell my students "go with the flow." And most importantly of all: Play with confidence. You got this!

Sometimes I feel you are speaking directly to me🙃. I guess I am not the only one with this problem.

I have been taught to stay in the same place and not move up and down from white to black keys

i feel attacked lmao ahahahahh no honestly, my teacher says this too but i use the black key to have reference points in the keyboard, so that i'm not blindly jumping and can play without looking at my hands, why is this wrong? of course there is the possibility of hitting black keys, but you come around that with practice, for example i'm practising chopin op28 no 20 and this is extremely useful to smoothly change from one chord to the other, and also pretty satisfying i have to add
