I've lost 120lbs, walk 10,000 steps every day, it's not hard. If you have to walk 15 minutes after every meal to get those steps, then that's what you're going to do. If you hate going to the gym, go with friends. You don't have to follow a strict workout. You can get on the treadmill and just talk about your day. Any lifting is better than no lifting. I fast, your body needs it to control your insulin levels. I don't eat before noon, and I stopped eating after 7pm. Water is your friend, but protein shakes are your lovers. There is actually a correct order to eat in. Veggies, meat, carbs, sugar. If you consume protein before sugar, it cuts the sugar intake in half. You can have your cake, just have a protein drink first. If you are someone with an eating disorder, you need to keep healthy snacks with you at all times. I'm talking jerky, dehydrated fruit, trail mix, granola bars, and yogurt. If you physically can't put down the food, then you need to start with just surrounding yourself with a bunch of healthy food. I kept protein shakes with me at all times. You don't have to say no to the cake, just try drinking a protein shake first and decide if you still want the cake after. There is a semi-healthy alternative for everything. Cookies, chips, pizza, you can still have it all, just look for low sugar, high protein versions. It's not about weight, it's about health and that always starts with forming habits. Are you drinking enough water and stretching daily? That's the first habit. It's going to be hard, but the more you work for it, the easier it becomes. You're going to mess up, get off track, and fail. And absolutely nobody but you is going to feel bad about it, so stop. It's not about making the best choice every time and restricting yourself, it's about making the next best decision when you have messed up.
