Why wouldn’t you want more L2 stations, so the turnover at the stalls is faster? A principal issue is that cars will be left plugged in long after they’ve charged to the desired limit; unlike SCs, there’s no idle time cost to encourage cars to be moved when charged.

I’m nearby in Indio. I agree with you. There should be at least 20+ L1 and just as many L2.

You do realize that 110V outlets are 4-7x slower than L2 chargers right? Nobody should be saying "110V is enough", that's not going to fully charge your car overnight. It might take 3 days.

L1's at 120v/15A, 1.4kw is... about +3-5miles per hour. Given parking even 12hours, that is only max add +60miles.
For 32A level2/8KW, that is only 2hrs worth of charge!
Better to get more level2, but lower power, say 24A or 5-6KW,... most folks don't need a full charge on arrival, just a good boost... even then 10hrs gets you +240mi
