Rutgers scientists have mapped dark matter's influence on early galaxies by studying Lyman-alpha emitters. Using the ODIN survey, they traced galaxy clumping across billions of years, revealing dark matter concentrations. This research confirms that Lyman-alpha emitting galaxies are a small percentage of the galaxies forming where the dark matter is densest. These 'fingerprints' offer insights into galaxy evolution and universe structure. According to Eric Gawiser, this data helps understand what it implies about the evolution of the universe. The Astrophysical Journal Letters published these findings. phys.org/news/2025-09-galaxies-reveal-hidden-dark-…

A fundamental insight of Relativity is that mass that exists at Relativistic velocities is irrelevant from our perspective. Relativistic velocities are occurring in the overwhelming majority of galaxy centers. This means that they exist in a "non local" state relative to their outer regions. The mass in our galactic center is not just there, it's everywhere.
Einstein repeatedly said that Relativistic dilation prevents astronomical concentrations of mass. He put this in writing in 1939.
Relativistic dilation doesn't occur in galaxies with low mass centers. They don't have enough mass to achieve relativistic velocities. Therefore, they do not contain dilated mass. It has been confirmed in 25 dwarf and ultra diffuse galaxies to have no dark matter. In other words, they have normal rotation rates.
Mass is a clingy thing thanks to gravity, it makes sense that dilated mass would exist as a halo around galaxies.
