Dealerships have been offering 84 month loans for well over a year (maybe three years), and the COVID cars saw large markups added to vehicles (e.g., $40k dealership markups on $50k MSRP vehicles) that never fully went away (often a percentage just embedded into the MSRP when the manufacturer caught wind of the practices).

I've got about 3 repairs coming up on my F150 that'll likely run me $5k each. That's way better than buying a $65k vehicle on a loan over 8 years. That's crazy.
