Today I spent 15 minutes in 11.8°C wild water. I’ve been doing this year-round, and I’m acclimatised — but I never get cocky. You always respect Mother Nature, or she’ll bite you on the arse.

Here’s the truth: cold water spikes dopamine by up to 250%, and it doesn’t just give you a quick buzz. It lasts for hours. It raises your baseline. That means you’re literally rewiring your brain to feel more alive every single day.

People call this suffering. It isn’t. This is a full-system reboot. Cold water beats any antidepressant they can prescribe. It gives me what no pill ever could: aliveness.
