We know what we dont want usually. So i usually throw out genres of food til we settle on one and from there its the specific restaurant debate. Might as well try to make it a game because we literally just dont know

Because when we say that it means we like most food and we don't know what we want and we wouldn't like to say what we want because the other person might not like that food but agree to eat it and we'd feel bad

Okay, so I’m a really picky eater and genuinely feel like I will inconvenience people when asked this question so these are my answers most of the time. I swear I’m not trying to be difficult, I will just make myself something else if I don’t eat what the other person/people are having because it’s my preference. I’ll often try or sometimes even manage to force some stuff down so as not to be rude but it’s honestly a texture thing (I just can’t handle some textures). Also I’m not someone who is like “ew what is that.” Like if I don’t like something I’m just gonna keep my mouth shut. Cause it’s personal preference and honestly just rude to talk like that about food someone just prepared.
Edit: I’ve been really excited to try food sometimes due to smell or even looks and then I eat and literally will gag at textures. I get so disappointed too. Like I wanna like the food but I just can’t handle it for some reason. 😢
