I also really love the little connections between DS1 and DS2. Freja (I think that was the spiders name) only dropping the pale drake soul in NG+ (or ascetic bonfire) is probably the hardest from the lord souls to find. The easiest to find is from the lost sinner, because you only need to watch their introduction.
