I love my old soft-sided wheeled luggage for carry-on - it's like an 80s-style sports bag but with extra compartments, and I can sling it over my shoulder if I need to as well. That plus my tiny, soft shoulder-strap handbag to keep pills, purse, phone, passport (huh! Just realised those are 4 'p's π ) are great for carry-on
