Maybe itās the internet comments, maybe itās that I see my friends and family having kids or maybe itās a built in society pressure BUTā¦
one of the hardest parts is seeing people move forward in their lives in ways that I am not ready for yet.
And the biggest example of that is settling down.
I get FLOODS of comments saying that my biological clock is ticking or questions as to why I havenāt found anyone yetā¦
And on good daysā¦. It makes me LOL because I am living the most magical life I could have ever dreamed for myselfā¦ but on days where I am hard on myself, I question if I am doing the right thing.
Bu then I remember there are 8 billion people on the planet and I donāt need to conform to the ways society deemed normal
Anywayā¦ short answerā¦ I want a family, I want kids, I want to maybe buy a home in the futureā¦. BUTā¦. I also want to continue living this lifestyle until it no longer suits me.
This is the happiest I have ever been in my lifeā¦ so why am I feeling pressure from society?
Psā¦ I would love to know any stories of having kids later in your life :)

Had the same conversation with a friend today. Iām 28, sheās 31, both healing and beginning again in life. Itās so easy to look at the people that are doing the ābiggerā things in life but when you look around so many of us are in similar places in life and it can help remind us we arenāt alone in our season. No one is behind, we are all just living. I know so many married friends with kids who have their daily struggles as well. No one ever feels like theyāve arrived. Life is a journey of growth. I know itās easier said than felt, I feel the same way you do too. From my perspective Iām totally jealous you get to live in a van and do what you do! I could feel behind, but I know my journey will bring me there when itās meant to be. Blessings to ya girl, we got this! Go adventure and do everything your married or mom friends wish they could lol!

I had my first baby at 29 and my second at 34 and I have no regrets. I sometimes think maybe I should have had them when I was in my early 20's like a lot of my friends but I am glad I waited.

You can always adopt. Its YOUR life, what are you to do with it except live it for YOU? Selfish is not a bad word, only when it comes as the painful expense of others does it become that. Do your thing

Just remember we all love you so much! Your videos are so great, your personality and you in general! I love you so much just remember that, and no one is forcing you, remember that. And I also think you would be a great mom! Even if you do get married or have kids you can still live in your van! It would be more expensive but you just need a little bigger van, or a camper and truck! We love you girl, we really do!ā¤

I have two kids in the mid 20s moved out
I sold my house summer of 2023
Started my YouTube channel
Bought my van in November and have been living in it ever since
Itās about 80 to 90% built out, but definitely enough to be comfortable
And yeah, this is the best
Itās nice to be able to do the things you want to do instead of the things that everybody thinks youāre supposed to do

Don't let others pressure you to live the "norm". I didn't have children, and I do not regret it at all. Happiness is what we all want. If you have that now, why give it up? Enjoy your travels.

I have been feeling the same way. I recently started my van life journey, and I have this burning desire to settle down, get married, and have children. But at the same time, I want to keep traveling and explore this world. It's so nice to hear that you are experiencing the same thing and knowing that we're not alone. Thank you for sharing!

Everyone feels like they're running out of time in one way or another and our priorities shift as we age. Enjoy and be fully present with this phase of your life even if it lasts longer than you expect. Don't let social pressures take away from your life or pressure you to live differently than your own timeline.
