I completely agree with you, that opening scene was one of the gnarliest in the Transformers franchise and I loved every second of it - if they brought in this approach to full movie on Cybertron, I would be psyched! 🙌

I will say that it ruined transformers because it was so good, it raised our standards up making everything look bad in comparison.

Whoever posted this hate post on Twitter/X must be craving for attention, I have a feeling this is literally a pure clickbait post. We know a lot of Transformers fans out there all agree that this opening Cybertron scene of Bumblebee is one of the best TF movie openings overall.
In fact, without this scene, Transformers One would never exist at all, even though it's an entire different universe. I strongly believe One took this scene & its overall design aesthetic as the base template and made it their own by mixing the best parts of everything that came before from 1984 until now.

To be fair a bad take the bumblebee movie Cybertron scene did not ruin transformers but the world building wasn't great to be honest after dark of the Moon I would have made transformers one the first movie in the reboot and outside of transformers replace toy story 4 with the wild robot because the wild robot is way better than toy story 4 it is not even funny

He's not wrong. The opening scene of Bumblebee is terrible, it looks like a PS5 cutscene and it looks uncanny fir a movie. Bumblebee spinoff would've only worked if it was a game or at least an animated film, not the fucking live action movie

The scene was too good. It completely overshadowed the rest of the movie for a lot of people. It almost feels like it wasn’t even meant to be made. Am I happy we have it? Absolutely but it set up an expectation in the fandom that the studio never intended to meet.
