Have you ever bought a cookie from a local bakery and wonder how they achieve such a perfect texture in their cookies? If you are looking for a crispy exterior and a chewy, dense interior, this little trick will forever change the way you make cookies! Chocolate chip, peanut butter, this works with all kinds of cookies! While this technique works with just about every cookie under the sun, it doesn't work as well with cookies you press out (gingerbread, sugar, shortbread etc.)

Make sure to take your cookies out just before they're done cooking, get something flat, and press down! That's it! Let them cool off on the baking sheet, and SHABLAM! So simple, but it makes all the difference!
