I didnt know you could put the oil in the tank yourself, i always just give it to an employee who doesn't look busy.

I dump mine in the yard that way it can sink down in the ground and turn into new clean oil in 10,000 years

You missed the part where you spill half the oil on the ground and light a bonfire with what remnants made it in the jug

I save mine up and take to municipal recycling centre in 20 litre container BUT on recent visit their staff said there’s a 5 litre “limit” as anything over 5 litres is classed as “commercial” waste (so not allowed)!
We have 4 cars in our household and I am NOT running a business! So what am I supposed to do???

That oil is going to be processed and turned into diesel and other products, i worked for a garage that had a Oil Furnace that was designed to burn anything! They dod a lot of oil changes cheeper than anyone else in town just to get the used oil cheap, the owner saved 90% on heating in northern Pennsylvania because of fhis system. Wss it legal? iDK? I don't see why not ir had a filter to remove the junk that couldn't go through the burner nozzle he had to change when it told him. Its just as good as #2 fuel oil basically diesel but dirty. Talk about recycling.
