Already have land and thinking about adding animals? At a screening of Roots So Deep with Greg Judy in Missouri, this farmer shared some advice: start with a good fence.

Adaptive Multi-Paddock Grazing involves small, continuously adjusted paddocks - and one of the most popular methods is temporary internal electrical fencing with a solid perimeter fence.

As to the benefits? This farmer didnโ€™t start feeding hay until February 1st thanks to his winter stockpile. Thatโ€™s money in the bank! (Or money for more cowsโ€ฆ)

we need many, many more ruminants, ranchers and meat packers across the country. also, each state needs to create a State-Sovereign bank to keep local money local. each state has a responsibility to protect its citizens.

Pleaching is great technique for fencing. It's quit laborious it it's cheap and comea with hole pther benefits like biodiversity improvement and wood production

Can do that in Ireland. Some days times our fields ar saturated even the animals dont want to stay outside. Theyd happily go back out again the next day but you just cant let them. 30 cows could destroy 100 acres on a few weeks. ๐Ÿ˜‚

No fence is bomb proof. We have trees on most of our fence lines. We keep it as natural as we can. Trees fall on the fence line. -40 winters and 4 feet snowfalls. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Why donโ€™t farmers use wooden fences? Just because itโ€™s much higher priced? Wouldnโ€™t wood fences with posts in poured concrete be the strongest fence?

I mean.... i know we live in America.... but now our livestock fences need to be basically bulletproof walls?!?! The fencing will cost more then the cows!

Ill make better money off of selling bulletproof fencing then cows!

Who am I kidding... we dont do it for the money ! Lol
