We can be peacemakers, serve, love, bless, and pray for them. It doesn't mean that they will treat you the same way because they have their agency to choose good or evil. Some people just don't want to work toward peace, compassion, charity, and understanding. Forgiveness sometimes means you have to let go of people you love knowing you did everything you could. I for one am not bitter or angry. I just feel a deep sadness and sorrow in my heart.
