As a polish person. We love pierogi. Sometimes i wonder why they are not at our flag. They are soooo good and we eat them at every event. You can eat them with sweet cheese, mushrooms, meat, fruits like everything! I always feel really excited when someone tries polish dishes and learns about polish culture and shows it in the socials. Greetings from poland! <33 (sorry for all mistakes)

I love pierogies! I associate them with Christmas and family because we don't have them often throughout the year, but we always have them during the holidays and they're such a comfort! You can either boil them or fry them. Personally, I like them boiled fresh and then fry them if they're leftover. I just love how versatile the food is, too, with either being savory or sweet.

I'm the American Granddaughter of a polish immigrant and grandmom teaching me to make pierogi was so special. I got to spend time with her and feel connected to my heritage. It's the only Polish food she ever taught me to make, and I still make them for new years every year. They are....my family. And they are so so comforting.

I love pierogis, they're definitely one of my favorite dishes from Polish kitchen. My grandma (babcia in polish) always makes them on holidays, traditionally with mushroom and cabbage filling. Another variation is with white sweet cheese or blueberries, we always eat those in the summer time. I love eating pierogis, but making them together with my babcia is a really meaningful part that makes the meal even better ❤️

I'm Polish-American, and pierogis are a holiday food for my family (Easter and Christmas). We have a cookbook that's been handed down a few generations (I got it from my great-aunt) and the pierogi recipe makes enough for 10 people, lol.
Also, that restaurant, being one of the only Polish food restaurants in LA, gets away with really not being that good. It seems like the place that would have been good 30 years ago, but now the chef doesn't care...at least that's the impression my mom and I got.

My grandmother always makes me dumplings when I visit. She lives in Katowice, Poland and I always visit in either the summer or winter. My parents are actually helping me learn Polish right now so I can talk with my relatives who didn’t move to the UK. It’s nice to see others trying these dumplings out

Pierogies always reminded me of summer, childhood and community. I grew up in Eastern Pennslyvania, where pierogies are very common. During the summer, at the local swimming pool, the snack stand always had fried pierogies. It was the go to snack for all the kids when they called "adult swim only" time. Sitting with our feet in the pool, eating fried pierogies with ketchup, waiting for the adults to get out. Church picnics were famous for pierogies too. Great food memory.
