Goofy lighthearted Sci-Fi comedy about Aliens who use their "technology so advanced it might as well be magic" to bring Videogame characters to life to attack mankind, so the President brings together his childhood videogame nerd friends to help fight them. It's as stupid as it sounds, and also a ton of goofy fun.

One of my friends is an ordinary guy who is also the best friend of a former POTUS. He has no political clout or aspirations. Long before POTUS was elected, future POTUS's wife and his wife worked on a business deal together and became friendly. The husbands met at dinners and clicked immediately. When my friend stayed at the White House, he didn't talk about the famous people he met there or how grand everything was. Instead he talked about having a BBQ and playing board games. POTUS loved this guy because he didn't care that his friend was POTUS. I think POTUS was very grateful to have a friend who genuinely didn't want anything from him except his ongoing friendship.
