Around fifteen years ago I created a few animated shorts using my desktop HP computer. All I had was the software that came with the computer. I made each frame in Microsoft Paint, and then imported them into Microsoft Moviemaker. I created a slideshow with about a tenth of a second view of each picture if I remember correctly. Needless to say it took several evenings to create all the frames. The original was slightly longer. Shortened it and changed the aspect ratio in Canva to make it a Youtube short, which wasn't even a thing back then. Using the same technique I made an animation for my sons third birthday, he's now 18. If this one gets a good showing, I'll post his also.
