Honestly, I think if they manage to buy out fromsoftware, the souls series is essentially done for. They've been wiping their ass with the existence of bloodborne since 2014 when it came out. What'll probably end up happening if they buy out is they try to make either a dark souls live service(yes, playstation has already clearly shown they are THAT out of touch with what their consumers want) to try and capitalize off the still ongoing popularity of elden ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and either try to make it live service or wipe their ass with it and not even do anything with it except make it playstation exclusive

Pov: it's 2028 and the newest releas is elden ring III Re-Remastered ultimate edition with no bloodborne remake even though elden ring is perfectly fine looking.

I believe this would be the death of fromsoftwares reliability and we'll respected status with it's fan base since Sony will charge more release unfinished games with bad dlcs that are necessary to actually finish the full game

That's bad. FS should be as far as possible from major corporation. FS can now work kind of independently and that's how should be. Based on last games of Sony they shouldn't have any influence on FS.
