One fact that I didn't know and I learned like yesterday is that multiple people had the chance to get the title and mount if they had finished the quest and completed it after the first player opened the gates. After a 10 hour window the title and mount become unavailable on the server.

It wasn't just the first one who got it, there was a time window. I woke up to a shit ton of messages telling me to log on before it was too late. Good thing it was a school day, so I woke up in time and didn't sleep in.

For this exact reason I have leveled archeology from zero and went to Pandaria to dig in the bug kingdom until the fake scepter, the fake ring and finaly the mount dropped.
Who actually don't know: you have to dig in Pandaria in the bug place if you want to get the specific artifacts. You have a chance to unearth three objects, a mock up ring (equippable epic ring with stats), a mock up scepter (1H mace with stats) and finally the Ultramarine battle tank. In that exact order, there is no a getaround, if you don't own the ring then you are not able to get the scepter or the mount and if you already own the ring, you need to unearth the scepter first, you are not able to get the mount.
Gettig the ring was the longest period after that the rest of them happened in quite short amount of time.
There is one help in this quest, that actually you can go around in the whole world and unearth other artifacts what you are able to turn in at any Archeology guy for credits. For a certain amount of credits you can buy pre-bundled boxes of Tol'Vir arftifacts, what has the same chance of dropping the ring, the scepter and the mount as if you would have dig up another site.

It wasn't just given to the first person to ring the gong. Everyone who rang it within 10 hours of the first ring per server could also get it.

Yeah and I missed it by mere hours because I was young. I literally completed the scepter but couldn't get in/on to go to the gong after doing what I needed to do for school.
Missing Scarab Lord by not understanding how big of a deal it actually was will be the greatest regret in my gaming career.

As well as PvP madness is going, the event is also going on. So many PvE Mobs came that shit, they hit with the force of thousand suns, they also did huge AOE damage, you would get deleted. To even open these gates, you had to donate tons of materials to the war effort. Cloth,Ore etc.

Black qiraji battle tank in BC private server has a useful purpose similar to the swift magic broom and unlike any other mounts it automatically mounts you to the mount itself without having to cast the mount before you could use it. Oddly the way you have to obtain is through pvp points as I remember?

One of the rarest? Bruh... its THE rarest mount in wow. Have not seeign one in retail since... pandaria. It was mindblowing. Now? Everyone and their mother has one on era. But seeign one in retail is mindblowing

Edit: yes, i know that the actual AQ was a raid; was referring to the OPENING of the gates and how it was a both-faction, full server event to actually get it open

It’s also the only mount that is considered “legendary” and has orange text. All other mounts are either rare or epic quality.
