I had gen 1 - no issues. But when I bought gen 2 (type-c)... I had this weird thing, some static noise and stuff, got them to repair but had to pay for it... Wtf...

Yeah mine are a paper weight now, the noise cancellation stopped working and just creates a bad crackling sound when walking with them, and now I can't even use them normally since every time I take them out of the case the right airpod squeaks. And when I put it in my ear it does the same thing. Like an ear piercing screech. It's horrible.

My first pair all of sudden overheated I one ear and melted the plastic a bit. I had apple care. I replaced them 3 times before the apple care ran out. If the pods fell from hand on hard floor the inside would get dislodged and you would hear rattle with any bass or any movement. Can’t wait to get some money back
