Dropped one this morning out of a duo with a Yelp/slight cackle.
The second one went high, circled around and got on even ground from the other side..
I got him to 60 for my apprentice hunter for a hr. I resorted to the breeding whine I seen in another video you had made. Got him to 35 yards wide open and my apprentice missed. He shot 3 ft to the right. But, I got him to unhang and come in.

I got to tell you boys what happened yestetday at 720 pm. I am not a all day guy. I have roost hunted before no success. I haven't seen a turkey or heard a turkey this year. Bought a nice decoy I have never used one. I go in at 6 and set it facing me at 20 yards on the edge of a hardwood drop off. Behind me is big woods with drop off to my left. I'm playing tecmo bowl on my phone I decided at 7 I would do a yelp on slate. 657 I yelp softly. At 715 there's a gobble behind me maybe 150 yards I quickly get turned around. I yelp again and get ready. 10 minutes go by and I hear a turkey sound behind me like a cluck but it was different sounding. I figured a hen came in then I hear spitting. Do I move! He's right behind me! Is it the same tom??? What is happening! I move my head and can't see. Screw it I'm turning on him if he catches me oh well. I turn my upper body around 180 degrees and there's a tail fan facing me. Always face the decoy to you. I do some mouth yelping to get him to drop the fan. It took a while then I shot him. He was 15 yards away. Crazy hunt.

Excellent advise as always
I carry 3-5 different mouth calls two double sided slate calls one copper/syn one brass/syn some times a third ceramic/syn or AL/syn and I constantly alternate between them all when trying to locate a gobbler have been utterly amazed on how Ill blind call using 2-3 different calls and then get a response on the 4th or 5th call I use
No doubt at least 40% of my Toms Ive taken the last 5 years were 100% due to first locating them only after I called using the 2nd, 3rd or 4th different call and didn't gobble back at my 1st call

Where I hunt the only yelping I hear is tree yelps at first light and a little louder right before they fly down. I think it depends on the area. The more encounters you have with real birds in a given area the easier it is to adjust your technique. I rarely yelp. I move as a turkey would, clucks and pur until I strike one up then it's all over. Gotta be on your toes though because they come in quick
