So it is data center only? It has higher iops and low latency than thunderbolt. The only downside is storing the optical cable in your cupboard which could destroy it if you are not careful

Basically what I did with my M.2 over fiber-optics 5G modem. 5gbps @ 170ft. We are now entering an era of “geodistributed” computing systems. I could switch out the e-key m.2 and over to b-key and have a remote m.2 ssd on my existing system. 😂 easy switch out

This is why they discontinued the Em6. I asked about them about a month ago and they said that they discontinued the line but we're still looking into a similar technology use.
