Man, I live in a village with pop. total of 500 people. That was the talk of the town when they started moving dirt round these parts, and bang, a month later it was DG. Wild. But its used often. Made lots of drives easier for sure.

We keep asking that question in our town. The "I hope it's an Olive Garden" is so real. As are the two Subways. And we do have four Dollar Generals within five miles.

In the town where I grew up there was a grocery store, 2 dollar stores and a burger joint. And then they started construction on a place, and every time we drive past it we wondered what it'd be. It took years to build, but when it was finally done low and behold to my astonishment, it was a miniature Walmart. It was about the size of a large Dollar General.
For some reason, they thought a tiny town like ours could support a Walmart when there wasn't a fast food place for 30 miles.
It didn't stay open long.
