The Best Is The Enemy Of Good Gardening

Planted some blackberries a couple of weeks ago, but they weren’t looking too good—so today I replaced them with healthier ones of the same variety. It reminded me of that quote from Atomic Habits: “The best is the enemy of the good.”

Sometimes we hold ourselves back waiting for things to be perfect. But in the garden—and in life—it’s okay to make mistakes. Plants die, lessons grow. Don’t give up. Keep planting, keep learning, and you’ll get better with time and repetition.

I really appreciate this! Especially when starting out gardening, it feels so scary to try to start over

My black berries, i thought, died, but it's been five years, and they're still here. Even if a plant looks dead, it's not remember that roots are still alive. I figured that out the hard way. I threw my pomegranate trees away 😢 they were big. I thought they were dead, but they were just sleeping in dominant. Yes, lesson learned
