Potatoes are so useful. From French fries to vodka to imitation RainX. It's like the other vegetables aren't even trying!

Uncle John's Bathroom Reader informed me that during WWII, Allied bomber crews stationed in England wiped halved potatoes on the inside of every glass window as a way to prevent condensation so the crew could actually see outside the aircraft. Years later, I was told that RainX was synthetic potato oil, but I've never bothered to fact-check that urban legend.

A potato will save you pain from minor burns, cut in half scrape into a pulp like mass lay on the burn and wrap with an "ace bandage" over night. Next morning you won't even know it was burned. U know from personal experience that this works !!! 😊😊

Potatoes have been used in boiler water treatment for centuries. The tannins and lignin in these natural materials would sequester hardness ions and inhibit them from forming scale compounds such as calcium carbonate or magnesium silicates.

One of the best natural and home made window cleaner contains potato starch 😜 -1 cup water -1/4 cup white vinegar -1/4 cup rubbing alcohol -1 tablespoon potato starch. Shake before use

Any starch will do that. You can buy spray cans of starch used for clothing and do the same thing without cutting a potato every time

I actually use this same trick to clean my grill off. You light it up and getting it going at decent heat, slap half a potato on a grill fork and rub it on the grate, comes clean right away.
