I think it was Mike from US Costa Farms who said tropical plants thrive between 400 and 500 LC. In my case that's as close to the window as possible, but not in direct sunlight. In direct sunlight it shows 3000 LC but i'm sure that's just the limit of the app or phone sensor. On the other hand several of my plants sit in front of a South facing window all day long and grow like crazy, no burned leaves or anything like that: Ficus Abidjan, Ficus Lyrata, Bird of Paradise, ZZ plant, about 5-6 Philodendrons, Pothos Golden and Neon and i'm slowly introducing more plants to direct sunlight. Keep in mind though that a plant behind a window is NOT technically in direct sunlight. I'm sure if there was no glass many of them would suffer.
