Being an adult is realizing that soldiers are just people like you and me. Taking a life stains your soul no matter what side you’re on.

The dying soldier giving his props and acknowledging him as the ā€œstrongestā€ is something out of fiction. Brutal video to watch btw.

This Russian guy is from Russian region called Yakutia. Over there they have a traditional Yakut knife, often fathers inherit them to sons. This guy took his Yakut knife to war and it ended up saving his life. Crazy

War is crazy. Those who actually start are NEVER in there but enjoying the carnage far away. As Tolstoy said ā€œwanna start a war? Fine. Just be in the frontline of every single combat zone to show your point.ā€

This Yakut guy is really a badass, this knife fight happened at a start of the actuall story he got the medal for. This was taking place deep in the enemy territory, after the knife fight, he was alone for 6 days surviving behind the enemy lines, while ukranian soldiers were hunting him. Three Ukrainian soldiers found him in some type of a basement with two entrances, they kept throwing grenades inside and asking if he was still alive, but he was silent, then one of them entered the basement to confirm the kill, and as soon as he saw him through the dust Yakut/Russian guy shot him dead. Ukranian guys kept throwing grenades in, and after they were out of the them, one of them decided to check again, bam, gets shot and hurt badly, gets pulled out. They retreat. Yakut decides to wait and around 5AM gets out of the basement and lays in the grass close to the place. At 7Am Ukrainians come back and start straight up firing RPG’s at the place. He comments:ā€ if I was to stay there, that RPG would have for sure finished meā€ Ukrainians were sure they got him this time, but little that they new he was laying low just 10meters away from them, patiently waiting. He also managed to snatch a radio of the ukranian guy, so he would hear their comments throughout the most of the story. He managed to contact his team that was 5km away, his comrade suggested getting him out with an atv, but Yakut refused, thinking it would grab too much attention of the fpvs. He found Ukrainian ammo and weapons storage unguarded and decided he would not burn the place as he will need the ammo and weapons as well. Then he found the place with allot of fpvs and burned it to the ground, found the gas and oil storage, got some Semtex or c4, ā€œnot sureā€, and blew it up as well. He heard on the radio that Ukrainians reported it as a direct hit from a 120mm and he felt good as they were still not aware he was still alive and it was his doing. Later he came back to the armoury place and heard a mechanised brigade coming near him. Quickly prepared 3 AK’s and an RPG, he wanted to use a machine gun but as he was badly wounded the whole time, he couldn’t use it well. There was one BTR if I’m not mistaken he took it out with an RPG and started shooting with an AK taking out some of the guys, going from one AK to another. They retreated, and he heard on the radio that they thought these were some Russian reinforcements.
After this he wanted to roll back to the allied forces, but he couldn’t move at night due to the thermals, and kept basically crawling couple of km per day until finally reaching his team.

This is a harsh recap of the whole story he got a medal for.

I mean f Rambo, this here is a f-ing blockbuster material. He’s name is Andrey Grigoryev call sign:ā€Tutaā€

Knife fight itself was chilling, but he was awarded a medal for burning down strategic supplies not the knife fight itself. He took out one ukranian alltilery unit, one mechanised unit, and around 20 soldiers, all by himself.

Regardless of who you support, if this is true, this man is a f-ing beast. Watching his interview, he seemed honest and humble, he did not even know that the footage of the knife fight existed until his brother showed it to him, he said he was surprised it was so long, he thought the fight lasted only a minute or two. He also said he couldnt watch the whole video as it was way too hard for him to relive that fight.

At the end of the fight ukranian guy asked him to stop and let him say his goodbyes to the sky and his mother, and let him bleed out. He said your a best fucking warrior, you bested me. Goodbye brother. Yakut answers Goodbye brother and puts a nade under the west hoping to end his misery quick. Runs for cover, not sure if the ukranian guy chucked the nade away but, but somehow it didn’t kill him. Yakut checks, sees he is still alive and hurt even worse and ends him with an AK.

I mean, I saw movies less unreal than this. Crazy…

What kind of bloody hell on Earth the ancient battlefield must have been like, with thousands of men fighting with each other like this in hand to hand combat . šŸ’€

The fact the guy said ā€œget off of me and let me die in peace. You opened me upā€ while he lays back and the go pro is aimed at a beautiful sky…. The Russian saying ā€œyou’re the greatest fighter I have ever facedā€ is all so bone chilling and beautiful at the same time

The sad reality of war. Can't imagine the stress being in hand to hand combat with the enemy.. it's worse enough shooting at one another from great distances.

He didn't just leave in the interview he gives he explains that he stuffed a grenade under his armour in hopes to finish him quickly but after it went off he returned to see it didn't finish him so he shot him in the end to finish his suffering the drone footage the covered a birds eye perspective captured the whole thing

Was a brutal interview and videos to show the unrelenting violence on a battlefield every man is fighting to come home

What do you think happens in war ! It’s not a cake and ice cream party . It’s two different forces trying to win and survive . It’s not a game it’s real life or death situation . This is why our vets should be taken care of once they’re back no matter the cost or inconvenience it might be to the community !

This is why I don't get people who cheer when there is a war, war is complete horror show for everyone involved and the immediate response should be containing and reducing the fire.
