The tooth was not the fossil of a T. rex tooth. It’s blade like, not the same design of teeth for crushing bone from a T. rex. It’s probably from a species from the Carcharodontosauridae family.

I’m relatively confident that’s not a T. rex tooth. It’s more likely Carcharodontosaurus which is a much more common North African species. If I’m not mistaken it is extremely difficult to acquire genuine tyrannosaur teeth and if you can they will be multiple thousands of dollars each. A large carchar tooth will run you about 700 bucks.
Edit: multiple thousands for a small one. One of that size would be most likely over $25,000
