The California Condor population has risen 2300% since 1982, entirely due to human intervention and captive breeding. It has saved this endangered species from extinction for now. The California Condor is North America's largest bird and was built for a much older world. They are still critically endangered and their habitat continues to be threatened. This California Condor documentary short briefly highlights their steadfast return and population as of 2022. The story of the critically endangered California Condor is proof that humans can bring back any animal from the edge of extinction if we really try. Do you think the California Condor is really saved from extinction? Let me know in the comments below. Hope you enjoyed this California Condor fact!

I have actually seen one of them in my lifetime. When I was a little kid and we were driving in the mountains this massive bird flew over the car because it was swooping down the mountain side and my grandfather said it was specifically a California condor. I've never seen one again.

When I was a kid I was so sad because I thought they would soon be extinct. I'm extremely happy there's now 500 in the sky!
