I saw a video in China they also have unattended small stand selling flowers or drinks, just scan for payment and of course cameras are there to capture criminals.

Have seen similar on a small island in the Gothenburg archipelago (Sweden), with the difference that they sell all kinds of food, and I think they are quite prizy. U also have to register beforehand, identify your card, so they know exactly who is "logging on" when entering the store.

I wish they had that kind of store here where I live in a small town/city in Ontario, Canada. It would be good for people like me who donโt like being around a lot of people or people who want to save a few dollars.

Anna, we do have so many varieties of ice cream in all our grocery stores on the USA. Many customers sometimes taking advantages and eat without paying . Theft happens a lot , but with all cameras installed , keeping up with customers is not possible ๐

They have many self check out counters in America. However, there is a lot of theft and there are people who try to game it also using the "banana trick" method, which is scanning the lower priced item of a similar product, thus getting getting an expensive item for a cheaper price.
