Guavas in pregnancy 🤰

Guavas are underrated tropical fruits. It is one of the richest source of folate and vitamin C combinations.
Guavas along with its peel provides 103-107 mcg folate/100gm (1 medium size guava 55gm - 125 mcg) and 228 mg vitamin C/ 100 gm

One of the best fruit for first trimester is guava as folate and vitamin C are most essential nutrients in the early phase where fetal brain and nerve development is happening. Vitamin C is needful for collagen production and tissue building which makes the base of fetal body and organs.

Choose naturally ripened, local and organic produce
-Eat guava as a whole fruit with its skin
-No need to add extra salt or chat masala on it , this might trigger heartburn and acidity
-Best time to eat - 11 am or 4 pm
-1 guava a day is enough
-Guavas with red pulp and white pulp gives similar nutrition, can choose anyone as per availability
