Bruins Nation, it's draft time, and while Brady Martin has his fans, we need to talk about why taking him at #7 overall would be a HUGE mistake for Boston!

While Martin's physicality and relentless motor are undeniable, the Bruins' biggest need is high-end offensive skill and a true top-line center. Martin, projected more as a middle-six power forward, simply doesn't possess the dynamic offensive ceiling of other prospects available at this crucial pick.

His playmaking vision is often highlighted as a weakness, and his skating, while adequate, lacks the separation speed needed to consistently create offense against NHL defenders. We can't afford to take a player who might top out as a third-line agitator when elite talent like James Hagens or Jake O'Brien could still be on the board.

The Bruins need a player who can drive play, create consistent scoring chances, and potentially fill that long-term #1 center void. Brady Martin is a good player, but he's not that player for Boston at #7. Don't waste this pick on a reach!
