About the macaney manor, there was a guy that was actually close to beating it. He was a former Marine, so you'd suspect he can handle this kind of thing. He was in the back of a truck when the guy who runs the manor asked if he thinks he can go on, and the guy kept saying yes he could. But The owner just kept making excuses saying 'Nah you're not ready. You're shivering, you've got hypothermia. He's not in his right state of mind.' when the dude was just an hour away from completing it. Wendigoon has a great video on the Manor, the Owner just doesn't want anyone to win.
