Palamar for me, I just feel that the 2 line lengths around the swivel ring just makes it that much extra tough and secure vs other like the half blood.

Any material I buy I test a few knots on my scales to see which one is the strongest. For the most part a 5 turn Grinner is my go to knot, along with a figure 8 loop. Some materials I’ve found a palomar to be marginally stronger. Only time I use bloods is on chod filament

Never ran into any problems using this knot along with the knotless knot and crimps. Thats all I’ve ever used! Oh and granny knots for pva!

I hate the blood knot for that reason exactly, mainly use knotless or a palomar now

I've never liked the half blood knots. If you're tying one, you might as well go the whole hog and do a full blood knot.

It’s a crap knot . Avoid it and use a 5 turn grinner whenever possible.
