It seems natural. When your entire life and identity in the past, was centered around being the best member of the LDS church you could be, where do you turn when that no longer is the case. Your desire to discover your identity, leaves you staring at an empty canvas. The ability to set out on your journey, depends on the success of the deconstruction of the smoke and mirrors show you found to be untrue. A healthy way to grieve the loss of your past, is to bear the storm that comes with it. Face it head on and continue searching for the truth. For many, they find solace in sharing their stories, and hearing the stories of others who have had similar experiences. Helping others heal, is often the best way to heal ourselves. Keep doing what you’re passionate about. Others are benefiting from your kindness in sharing your thoughts.

Kinda like how Paul in the Bible (allegedly) hated the church then became pro church. Either way- he was outspoken and active. You are still outspoken and active, just in a different way.

It's so crazy how as members we had to be quiet and obedient, then as former members we're still expected to be quiet. It's such a culture of silence!
I love that you're facilitating conversations about church membership and experiences. Why not? Many therapists and other health care workers dedicate their lives to education and healing for others.. that doesn't make it their whole personality, it's simply something they do to help people.
