You can get spray for suede (or nubuck) that helps protect them better for winter, but you're totally right that simply having a thicker sole helps immensely for suede boots. I also find suede is fine when it's super cold, but doesn't work so great for high slushy warmer areas like Toronto.

I dont rlly wear light boots, I'm more of a black boots person, but wowza, those are so cute AND practical?! I live in Indiana and I detail cars at a dealership and our heat doesn't work hardly in the winter and we wash cars by hand and we have to shovel cars out of 4 ft snow drifts so I need these bAD
