“Patients experiencing chronic pain that have a flare up usually go back to the breath. I found that the use of pranayama can help with pain reduction, and alongside mindfulness, which accesses more breath awareness, leads to support in both pain reduction and pain acceptance.”

Dr. Raquel Chinchetru has undertaken two yoga therapy trainings, a BA in Fine Art. an MSc in Health Psychology, and completed a PhD in Psychology. In a recent interview, Raquel spoke to Heather Mason about how she combines these specialist subjects in innovative ways to help others with chronic pain.
