Honestly want to do a Dr. Who style campaign where the bastion is like the Tardis allowing the adventurers to travel across the multiverse doing different quests. Probably have the first 5 levels of the campaign with them looking for this mysterious object only to realize itβs a house or something.

I've been homebrewing player housing until now, but this feels actually mechanically functional!
I can think of a lot of ways to make my players quest to upgrade these player homes, and I can't wait to try it out!

While I love the idea of player housing and something for players to spend there access money on, I have yet to hear a single reason as to why, mechanically, anyone would want this. If its all player controlled, specific to that player then how does this affect the table at all. It's just feels so weird to me based off of how WotC has been selling this.
