I was wait staff for a Christmas party and one of the guests ended up being about 45 minutes early for the party. (I think her boss wanted to humiliate her). I ended up being the one to serve her and since we weren't too busy id stop by every few minutes or so to have a quick conversation with her after this happened 3/4 times I said fig it to myself and just plopped my arse down beside her and started talking with her. She went from shy to vivacious once we found common ground. She was a farmgirl and I was a farmboy. Next thing I know we're both thick as thieves laughing our arses off. The next guest arrived and he sat at another table being antisocial. It started getting busy so I had to started serving others and every break I'd go over to her and we'd have a quick conversation with lots of laughs and smiles. By this time mr antisocial overhead our conversation and just had to join in because it was a great conversation. It had gotten pretty busy by this time so I had to excuse myself. Their party had mostly arrived by this time and the two of them ended up being the life of the party. All the other guests were very surprised because they were loners at work. I got a nice handshake and chestbump from the guy and a kiss on both cheeks with a very hot hug from the girl as their party was exiting. I said "quick - let me go - your hug is too exciting". She released me and I checked myself and exageratedly exclaimed "phew - just in time - any longer and I'd have to walk around with a menu in front of me all evening". Those guests who were in earshot ended up laughing and choking.
