Many times I receive inquiries about how I create layers and texture on the canvas. Well, I use previous layers to create highlights and depth that make the artwork come alive. I spread the color selectively, to let previous layers breathe and intrigue the eye. I add layers fast. Sometimes I go back and recreate or refine a layer I’ve already applied. Every canvas comes with something new and I adapt the way I layer the paint, in order to bring to life new emotions and ideas.
