Is not as much the penalty itās more that he is meant to be a amazing goalscorer that never misses and yet as a striker hasnāt scored a goal the whole tournament and has had about 15 free kicks and shots and still didnāt score where as Messi who is generally known for assist and setting people up has a goal in the copa america and an assist as well as the fact that Messi miss was in a penalty shootout not in the game itās self (I respect both the goats but you cant just say that Messi is always loved and Ronaldo always hated you have to look at the facts.)

He didnt cry (ronaldo) because he missed, he cried because during the team meeting after he missed the penalty in half time in extra time he looked up and saw his mother crying in the stands, which led to him thinking that he couldnt even make his Family happy anymore. And thats why he broke down in tears.

People always say, media is against Ronaldo and favors Messi, where? I have never seen that happen, only thing I have seen is people saying Ronaldo gets hate from Media but where is the hate? Messi gets hate because apparently the media favors him, again where? Every football video I see people constantly calling Messi pessidog or smth and when Messi fans say Penaldog in response they say Ronaldo is hated, like put some respect on Messi's name too, I respect both players and it really annoys me that everyone is fighting over who is the goat, both are good players for some people Messi is better and for some people Ronaldo is better but they both deserve respect not only one.(except ESPN)

as an argentinian that watched both of this matches i was truly sad for ronaldo that he missed the penalty. i also think that ronaldo deserved more love from people and he doesnāt deserve all the hate that heās getting. i hoped that portugal wouldāve come farther in that euros so that ronaldo could win another international trophy with his country. he just deserved it. people just need to realize that both are great players and that we can be happy to still witness these two legendsš¦š·šµ
