🕊️ Today is National Forgiveness Day 🤍

I founded National Forgiveness Day in 2023 because I know—firsthand and through thousands of others—that forgiveness sets you free.

It’s not about the other person.
It’s about releasing the power that pain has had over you.

And for the past two years, we’ve run an experiment:
Can someone go from bitter, angry, and resentful…
to forgiving and free in just 21 days?

✨ The answer? YES.
Sometimes in 3 weeks.
Sometimes in 2.
For some, just one.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean reconciliation.
It doesn’t mean weakness.
It means you value yourself enough to stop carrying what was never yours to hold.

Forgiveness may look like:
— Reaching out to someone you owe an apology to
— Letting go of the blame you’ve carried
— Giving yourself the compassion you give to others
— Or choosing to stop punishing yourself for a mistake you’ve already made right

Today, don’t let the day go by without doing something to let go.
Because freedom doesn’t come from forgetting…
It comes from forgiving.
