Today's divorce rate is higher, families are more broken and dysfunctional, and people are expressing mental health issues at an early age. Families were more stable back then and provided family stability. A women can have a family and balance career.

I guess it really depends on what you want out of life. I met my husband when I was 16, got married when I was 18, he was 21...47 years later, we are still married. I had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. We sacrificed a lot but ended up with 2 well-rounded boys who take care of their families. I would not have changed a thing

My first love broke my heart, cheated, and got pregnant while I was in basic training. By another guy. I wound up taking care of disabled woman at 28. I've taken care of her for 36 years. No children, never married. I live alone, and I never trust a woman again. But yet, I craved a normal relationship. This disabled woman, is a pure soul. But her mental illness wears me down at times. She lives alone also. At 64, love can be cruel.
