Seems like the mom didn't bother to pay any attention to her daughter...why is the mom the one acting hurt? Her daughter had to do something major WITHOUT HER HELP.
And that family arrangement, with the cold stepdad TELLING THE DAUGHTER that he didn't like her? And the mom didn't defend her or tell him off?
