I recently had some interactions with Salamander customer services and was extremely unimpressed.
This concerned a shower pump that I fitted about 14 years ago, worked well for that time, but O ring had gone.
I first contacted them on their website contact form, no reply.
Then phoned them on two occasions, both times the same woman in 'Technical Services ' was unable to say if the O ring kit for their slightly different number of their current model would fit.
Furthermore, she confirmed that had no access to data on older models. Then i Googled repair kits for the model and several independent suppliers did list the same genuine Salamander kit as fitting.
I ordered the repair O rings directly from Salamander and their website listed 8 in the kit, but only 6 when they arrived. I complained by email about the wrongly described number, but the didn't bother to reply.
Fitted replacement O ring and it fixed it !
I can only think that they want you to buy a whole new pump for the sake of a simple O ring.
If this is the way British manufacturers operate, then they are going down the tube.
I hope Salamander are reading this !

Hmm Max head 0.5bar ! Is that on top of existing pressure or total ? Doesn't look much good for a high pressure kitchen tap that requires min 1.0bar which is the main application for such a product ? Small and neat though. Better alternative for similar money is a Stuart Turner single impeller pump. Produces 2,0 bar and greater flow too. Larger but superior product ? Please clarify if unfair. Sorry Roger. Thank you
