You wonderful C-17 folks have done me multiple favors but I will just mention two. When I was in the sandbox you were there at 2am so we could do what we called a hot swap (all the engines were hot). Wounded out of one bird and straight into another so they could continue their journey to larger medical facilities. The other was when I was in the sandbox and my family was at Keesler. Hurricane Katrina stomped Keesler pretty good and ya'll landed those things on the little bity Keesler field to bring everyone food, water, and supplies. Impressive work. Thank you.

Thank you for all of the ride homes!!!!! We would always open the top hatch and fly an American flag when we would land at our base after being in the air for 10 to 14 hours….
Few times I was supposed to be stuck and my commander worked it out with the C-17 team to get us home a little bit earlier…. 12 F15 E’s / C17 / small group of warriors strapped down with cargo straps and sleeping on my daughters Lassie blanket getting home from being gone almost a year at war!!!!!!
