I'll be honest with you, it's been two years and I still didn't finish my second play through when I'm right at the Cultists. Mostly because I got bored after my first run and trudged through the second and also because I can't commit when playing a game.

If you use a single block to protect your lower half then the end crystals won't hurt very much for some reason.
